Established in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain extension is the single TLD supposed to be for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are popular by. At the beginning, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to order john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired third-level domain names remained online.

Through our company, you can order your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to update the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar firm and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no specific terms on who can purchase a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the objective behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
